Chelation

What is Chelation Therapy?

Chelation therapy is the removal of toxins from the bloodstream through intravenous administration. It uses an amino acid compound called EDTA combined with minerals and vitamins. EDTA plays an important role in binding heavy metals such as mercury, lead, arsenic, and excess calcium in the body that may accumulate along blood vessel walls and in tissues. After chelation therapy, these heavy metals are eliminated from the body through the urinary system. Chelation Therapy has been certified by the Thai Medical Council and is considered one method of treating individuals with accumulated toxins in the body in a safe and reliable manner.

When the body is unknowingly exposed to environmental toxins and accumulates them over time, it produces free radicals that disrupt normal bodily functions and may lead to various health problems. These toxins can come from several sources, including:

  • Chemical toxins such as food additives (coloring, flavoring), perfumes, cosmetics (shampoo, hair dye, lipstick), household chemicals, or even modern paints. These substances can enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, skin absorption, and eventually enter the bloodstream and accumulate in organs.

  • Heavy metals such as mercury, industrial fumes, pesticides, lead, and other heavy metals. When accumulated in large amounts, they may affect brain function.

  • Plastic contaminants such as chemicals from plastic food containers, plastic-wrapped vegetables and fruits, food packaging, or hot food stored in plastic containers.

  • Removes accumulated toxins from the body and bloodstream

  • Improves blood circulation

  • Supports coronary arteries that supply the heart muscle

  • Reduces blood pressure

  • Helps regulate irregular heartbeat

  • Reduces allergic reactions

  • Improves circulation to hands and feet

  • Enhances sensory perception such as taste, vision, and hearing

  • Improves sexual performance

  • Helps manage Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

  • Helps prevent degenerative diseases related to blood circulation such as insufficient blood supply to the brain and certain immune-related conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis

  • Individuals with cardiovascular disease

  • Individuals with high cholesterol

  • Individuals with poor blood circulation to muscles

  • Individuals with insomnia and fatigue

  • Individuals with high levels of toxins or heavy metals in the body

  • Individuals who frequently consume very sweet, fatty, processed, or fried foods

  • Individuals experiencing long-term stress

  • Smokers or heavy alcohol drinkers

  • Women planning pregnancy

Those frequently exposed to toxins or heavy metals over long periods may experience toxin accumulation in tissues such as bones, muscles, and fatty tissues, interfering with enzyme and mineral functions. Symptoms may include:

  • Frequent headaches, dizziness, or nausea

  • Low-grade fever without clear cause

  • Fatigue, drowsiness, poor concentration, frequent forgetfulness

  • Indigestion, bloating, diarrhea, frequent flatulence

  • High carbohydrate intake but poor metabolism and easy weight gain

  • Difficulty eliminating toxins, symptoms such as bloating, constipation, irregular bowel movements

  • Chronic skin conditions, rashes, itching

  • Allergy symptoms and sensitivity to pollutants

  • Treatment duration is approximately 1–1.5 hours

  • During infusion, you may rest, use your phone, read, or listen to music. After treatment, you may resume normal activities without needing rest

  • A medical evaluation is recommended before treatment, especially kidney function assessment for first-time patients

  • During treatment, rest adequately and drink more water. Fruit juice is recommended, as blood sugar may decrease during infusion

  • Maintain a balanced diet with sufficient vitamins and minerals to support recovery and strengthening

Q: How long does each session take?
A: Duration depends on the individual and suitability assessment. Typically 60–180 minutes. Appointment time can be arranged in advance.

Q: How will I feel during treatment?
A: Most people feel comfortable. Some may feel coolness in the arm or mild fatigue after treatment, which is temporary. Inform staff if discomfort occurs.

Q: How should I care for myself afterward?
A: Drink more water, rest adequately, and avoid alcohol or strenuous activities for the first 24 hours to support recovery.

Q: Can it be combined with vitamin drips or NAD+ therapy?
A: It can be combined in some cases. A joint evaluation is recommended to select the most appropriate approach for your goals and physical condition.

Q: What if I experience bruising or pain at the injection site?
A: Mild bruising may occur. Apply a cold compress during the first few hours and avoid massage or pressure. If swelling or unusual symptoms occur, contact the clinic immediately.
